ZwavelStream Clinic was inspired by the desire to provide a psychiatric unit in an environment that “de-institutionalises and de-stigmatises” mental health hospitals.

ZwavelStream Clinic is set in the Bronberg, with lush vegetation, manicured gardens, and spacious and tastefully furnished rooms.

A team of dedicated and experienced professionals provide treatments in this beautiful setting.

Accommodation

ZwavelStream Clinic has been specifically designed to harness its peaceful surroundings to assist the patient’s healing process. The facility has well-appointed, spacious private and semi-private rooms, which all have breathtaking views of the area.

Therapy Facilities

The latest international developments in the management of mental illness within a psychiatric clinic setting are implemented to help patients improve their daily functioning. Well-appointed facilities are used in this process, like comfortable consulting rooms, dedicated group rooms, and a unique occupational therapy area. Patients will have the option of joining frequent exercise sessions presented by a trainer or using the facility’s indoor gym equipment.

Additional Conveniences

Outdoor activities include a walking trail, volleyball, or simply relaxing in the lush gardens. Wi-Fi hotspots are available, and patients also have access to a library with various reading materials, or they may enjoy multiple board games and puzzles. In addition, the clinic offers dedicated smoking zones and secluded areas ideally located for some quiet time. More than 120 bird species and wild animals on the property will be a treat for wildlife enthusiasts. We believe healing is an aggregate process which is why we have beauty treatments such as hair grooming, manicures & pedicures available to patients to treat themselves. We also have an outsourced laundry service available to patients.

  I stayed at Zwavelstream for almost 2 weeks, I was discharged on the 6th of October 2023.
When I arrived Nicholus at Reception was an absolute star in dealing with all the admin, and to make sure I knew where to go and what to do.
Dr Louis Roos has been my Psychiatrist for  9 years already. I live in Boksburg and will follow him wherever he goes. He is instrumental in my treatment, as well as a Family member, who had seen him now for +-3 years. All I can say, he never gives up on his patient, and assists with any challenge you throw at him.
What a dynamic Doctor!
I will always be indebted to him as he treats me with love and care, and always been realistic in your holistic treatment.
Tania Lombard van Huyssteen is excellent in trauma treatment and got me to really work on my trauma, trust me I have seen a few Phycologists in my 20 years in dealing with Bipolar.  I will follow her wherever she goes. Her method of treatment is a next level indeed.
Rohanne Muller, my OT. As special as she is, practical, understanding, and investing her full  time and effort into her patient.
All the Nurses were friendly and extremely helpful, but I have to name Mama Ruth and Eunice, what darling's they are, patient, loving, caring, and goes the extra mile.
Well done Zwavelstream, in having the right people in positions of making a world of difference, in treating your patients, to give patients hope. These people are the best in their field!

  This place gave me an opportunity to look at life in a different and positive perspective to life. The staff is professional and friendly, they make you feel at home away from home.
