"Time does not heal the wounds that occur in those earliest years; time conceals them. They are not lost; they are embodied." - Vincent Felitti

Dr Bing’s areas of expertise:
EMDR
Also known as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy, EMDR is a psychotherapy technique proven to reduce psychological stress. Dr Bing has used EMDR extensively since 1998 and makes use of this approach in her treatment for trauma as it has been researched and found to be effective in helping individuals overcome symptoms related to trauma.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
This approach is based upon the finding that individuals battling with Depression, Anxiety Disorders, and Trauma experience negative thought patterns that occur on a loop, serving to worsen their condition. By teaching them to think differently, Dr. Bing aims to assist individuals in regaining control over their thoughts. This may include developing a new way to relate to negative beliefs and changing deep-seated beliefs that cause negative patterns in thinking.
Behavioural Activation
Particularly beneficial for those battling mood disorders like Depression, Behavioral Activation is an approach that focuses on symptoms of withdrawal, disconnectedness, and disengagement, seeking to decrease an individual’s isolation and avoidance. In this way, they will gradually increase their engagement in behaviours that lead to an improvement in their mood.
