Introduction:
Dr. Lekalakala is a Specialist Psychiatrist dedicated to providing holistic care and treatment specific to each client’s needs. His warm and nurturing approach is mainly comprised of pharmacotherapy and behavioural therapies. He has extensive experience in the medical/legal relationship concerning aviation mental health and has given talks at both the Biological Psychiatry Congress in South Africa and the World Association of Psychosocial Rehabilitation in Spain.

To achieve his goal of holistic care, Dr. Lekalakala works alongside a specialist team of psychologists, psychiatrists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and social workers. Special interests include the diagnosis and treatment of Mood Disorders, like Bipolar and Depression, using psychotherapy and pharmacotherapy; Anxiety Disorders, using pharmacotherapy as well as behavioural therapies; Post-traumatic Stress Disorder, by establishing coping strategies for individuals in recovery; and Psychotic Disorders, using holistic management strategies.
He also provides psychiatric assessments in sectors like RAF and civil litigation as part of a medicolegal function.
